LANCASTER (AP) — Authorities say two convicted felons got together for a gun deal in Lancaster and one of them was accidentally killed as they looked at the weapon.
Lancaster County deputies said 35-year-old Robert Hood was shot in the abdomen Tuesday night when the gun he was trying to get went off as he looked at it.
Investigators say the man showing the gun, 30-year-old Demario Buchanon was a felon and the gun had been stolen. Buchanon is charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of stolen property. He was in jail awaiting a bond hearing and it wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
Deputies say Hood also was a convicted felon prohibited from having a gun.
