COLUMBIA (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley raised $950,000 over the past three months as she runs for re-election next year.
On Thursday, Haley’s campaign announced the figures from July through September. The figures include her formal re-election kickoff and a fundraiser with three other Republican governors. She now has nearly $3.2 million in her campaign account to spend.
Haley’s full report wasn’t available online. Thursday was the third-quarter deadline, and Haley’s expected opponent, Democrat Vincent Sheheen, plans to release his fundraising information later.
Both candidates raised just over $600,000 during the second quarter of 2013.
The two candidates also faced off in 2010, with Haley winning the election with 51 percent of the vote. Sheheen received 47 percent.
