Civil Rights – Freedom of Information Act – ‘Prevailing Party’ – Post-Complaint Production – Attorney’s Fees (access required)

Sloan v. Friends of the Hunley, Inc. Defendant refused plaintiff's requests for information until plaintiff filed a Freedom of Information Act complaint. Although defendant's post-complaint production of the requested information mooted plaintiff's lawsuit, plaintiff was still the prevailing party. We affirm the trial court's award of attorney's fees in part.
