Clawson and Staubes said Amanda L. Callander has joined the firm’s Charleston office, where she will work in the commercial and corporate law section.
McNair Law Firm said Dan Butler and Michael Weaver have been named shareholders in the firm. Butler works in the Myrtle Beach office, while Weaver is in Columbia. Also, Cody Lenhardt, of the Charleston office, has been named special counsel.
Robert C. Blain has joined the Isle of Palms office of Columbia-based Gaffney Lewis & Edwards. He will focus on premises liability defense, family law and employment law.
The Charleston School of Law announced three new faculty members. Richard E. Mendales and William G. Merkel join as associate professors, while Kimberly D. Phillips joins as an assistant professor.
McAngus Goudelock & Courie announced that Jason A. Pittman had joined the firm’s Columbia office, where he will focus on general liability defense.

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd said shareholder Andrew J. (Andy) White Jr., has joined the South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
