Priester v. Cromer Even though Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 allows vehicle manufacturers to choose between laminated and tempered glass for side and rear windows, FMVSS 205 nevertheless preempts plaintiff’s state-law products liability claim against a manufacturer that put tempered glass in its side windows.
