Criminal Practice – Illegal Alien Not ‘Paroled’ by Registration (access required)

U.S. v. Al Sabahi The 4th Circuit affirms a three-count conviction of defendant, a native of Yemen, for possessing a firearm while in the U.S. illegally, despite defendant’s claim that his application for status adjustment after marriage to an American citizen, and his prior registration with the government under a national security initiative meant he was not an illegal alien.
