ANDERSON (AP) — Deputies say they charged an Anderson County man with attempted murder after he tried to kill his wife after a fight by ramming her car with a borrowed motor home.
Authorities said in a news release that 46-year-old Harold Threlkeld Jr.’s wife left their home with a friend after the couple fought Friday night and drove to a nearby store to call police.
But deputies say Threlkeld borrowed a motor home and drove to the store, ramming the car his wife was in several times until it was pushed through a fence.
Investigators say the women weren’t seriously injured.
Threlkeld was arrested a few hours later. He remains in jail on a $100,000 bond and it wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
