Background: Lapham failed to file an answer to the charges against him relating to 14 separate matters, including engaging in the unauthorized practice of law, failure to cooperate with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, failure to cooperate with the attorney to protect clients’ interests, and failure to communicate with his clients. Previous discipline: Lapham had been on interim suspension since January 2013. In September 2013, he was held in criminal contempt by the Supreme Court for engaging in the unauthorized practice of law and sentenced to 60 days’ imprisonment.

Background: Daugs submitted a motion to resign in lieu of discipline, as permitted by the rules for enforcing discipline, and the Supreme Court granted the motion. In accordance with those rules, Daugs’ resignation shall be permanent.
