CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against two men charged in the slayings of two Horry County convenience store clerks in separate robberies last year.
Local media outlets report that prosecutor Jimmy Richardson said Tuesday he’ll seek the death penalty against 34-year-old McKinley Lee Daniels and 21-year-old Jerome Jenkins Jr., both of Loris.
The two are charged in the shooting deaths of two convenience store clerks in January of 2015.
Authorities say that 40-year-old Bala Paruchuri was shot and killed on Jan. 2, 2015. Authorities say surveillance video shows Paruchuri was cooperating and had his hands in the air when he was shot.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Trisha Stull was shot and killed during a second convenience store robbery on Jan. 25, 2015.
