On May 5, the Charlotte office of Fisher & Phillips will host its annual seminar, “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – One Day, Many Solutions.”
The seminar will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Inn, 201 S. McDowell St. Fisher & Phillips attorneys will address issues such as upcoming changes in employment law and challenges employers face in 2016.
According to Mason Alexander, managing partner of Fisher & Phillips’ Charlotte office, “For anyone managing employees, this seminar is a great opportunity to be better prepared for the latest employment law changes and to obtain best practices and practical solutions to implement in the workplace.”
Other issues being addressed include diversity in the workplace; when and how to protect employment agreements; the National Labor Relations Board “assault” on non-union employers; and 2015, the year that changed OSHA forever.
Agent Wayne Freeman of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division will be the lunchtime keynote speaker, discussing active shooter in the workplace scenarios.
The cost of the seminar is $75 per person and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The cost for companies sending more than one person will be $50 per person. Continuing Legal Education credits for North Carolina and South Carolina attorneys are available. CLE credit for Human Resources Certification Institute/Society for Human Resource Management is pending.
