AIKEN (AP) A South Carolina man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison in a hit and run that killed two transportation department employees.

Court records in Aiken show that 30-year-old Lonnie Dean Miller of Clearwater recently pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless homicide, two counts of hit and run involving death and one count of hit and run involving a minor injury.

Officials say Miller was driving in Aiken County last March 13 when his car hit three transportation department employees working on the side of a road.

Fifty-four-year-old Anthony J. Redmond of Warrenville and 64-year-old Robert Clark of Aiken were killed. The third worker suffered only minor injuries.

Investigators say Miller drove away before later turning himself in to officers.

He apologized before he was sentenced.
