Duffie Stone serves as solicitor for the 14th Circuit and as chairman of the South Carolina Commission on Prosecution Coordination. He knew as a young man that he wanted to enter the field, and in the following video, he reflects on how he entered the field, including:

  • “I went to law school knowing I wanted to be a prosecutor.”
  • “I don’t know that there was one single thing that led me in that direction.”
  • “I clerked for the solicitor’s office in Columbia when I was in law school, after my first year, and the minute I walked in, I knew that’s where I needed to be.”

Watch for South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s profile of Duffie Stone to be published later this month in the print edition and to be posted online soon at sclawyersweekly.com.
