Slap it on the wrist

The stodgier among us might scoff at the idea of advertising DUI and criminal defense legal services on those paper wristbands that are forced on patrons at bars and nightclubs. But Columbia lawyer Bubba Cromer appreciates a good gimmick. “There’s a glut of lawyers where I live and a lot of them spend tens of thousands of dollars a year on advertising,” he says. “I’m a solo and I don’t have that kind of money for advertising. I’ve got to try creative and innovative ways to get my name out there.”
