A state worker who was fired over an alleged outburst during a sensitivity training seminar has received $120,000 to drop his lawsuit against the S.C. Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation. Mark Kelly lost his job as an investigator for the labor agency in 2011, days after he voiced his disagreement with the instructor of a mandatory workshop on “cultural diversity awareness,” according to his complaint.
