Lawyers In The News 08-01-11

Mills Gallivan, a senior shareholder with Gallivan White & Boyd P.A. in Greenville, has been appointed to the South Carolina Bar Dispute Resolution Section Council. The council oversees the alternative dispute resolution section of the S.C. Bar. The section educates judges, attorneys and the public to the benefits of alternative dispute resolution and promotes the adoption of mediator and arbitrator standards. Gallivan will serve on the council through 2014. He is a certified arbitrator and a certified mediator, and alternative dispute resolution is one of his primary practice areas at Gallivan White & Boyd.

McKnew has been involved with the environmental organization for more than eight years, previously having served as chair of the South Carolina chapter and as the first trustee liaison to the National Board of The Nature Conservancy.
