Rather than choosing her career as a plaintiffs’ personal injury lawyer, Sydney Lynn believes that the practice area chose her. In an interview on her law firm’s website, she says she had a calling to serve others, even at a young age. But her path was forged by a series of unrelated decisions.

“After law school, I initially practiced at a small plaintiffs’ firm where I gained a ton of invaluable practical experience in terms of case development, deposition practice, litigation, and workers’ compensation,” she says. “I learned the importance of integrity and making decisions that are right for my client.”

A partner at the Joye Law Firm, Lynn has served on the South Carolina Association for Justice’s board of governors since 2015.

Her top priority is to earn her clients’ trust.

“Trust is a critical component of my relationships with my clients,” she says. “If I have the trust of my clients, then we can get through those hard times together.”
