Lawyers suspended over nonpayment of fees

Ten lawyers with practices in South Carolina have had their licenses suspended for not having paid license fees, an order from the state’s Supreme Court says.

Another 13 lawyers practicing or living out of state but who also are licensed in South Carolina also had their licenses suspended, according to the order.

The suspensions, made under Rule 419(d)(1), SCACR, were based on information the South Carolina Bar submitted to the court. The lawyers are required to surrender their certificate to practice by April 1.

They can petition for reinstatement under Rule 419(e), SCACR, the order, which was ated Thursday, says.

The lawyers in South Carolina who were suspended are:

Arie David Bax, of Beaufort.
Theodore Jacob Bliman, of Bluffton.
Jill Elizabeth Dawson, of Hilton Head Island.
Ammon Tice Lesher, of Greenville.
Gary Paul Mallard, of Greenville.
Michelle Renee Orth, of Charleston.
Weston Bradley Rochester, of Greenwood.
Claire Crandall Schulmeister, of Charleston.
Whitney Stout, of Beaufort.
Aaron Demetrius Taylor, of Columbia.
