Lawyers suspended over nonpayment of fees

Ten with practices in South Carolina have had their licenses suspended for not having paid fees, an order from the state’s says.

Another 13 lawyers practicing or living out of state but who also are licensed in South Carolina also had their licenses suspended, according to the order.

The suspensions, made under , SCACR, were based on information the submitted to the court. The lawyers are required to surrender their certificate to practice by April 1.

They can petition for under Rule 419(e), SCACR, the order, which was ated Thursday, says.

The lawyers in South Carolina who were suspended are:

  • Jill Elizabeth Dawson, of .
  • Ammon Tice Lesher, of Greenville.
  • Gary Paul Mallard, of Greenville.

  • Claire Crandall Schulmeister, of Charleston.
  • Whitney Stout, of Beaufort.
  • Aaron Demetrius Taylor, of .
