Listen to this articleBev Carroll says the television show “Perry Mason” sparked her interest in becoming a lawyer since she had no lawyers in her family and did not even know a lawyer.
As she moved through high school and college, she always heard, “You need to be a lawyer.”
It’s a path she followed and a decision she never regretted.
Carroll began her career as an assistant solicitor while also practicing civil litigation. Along the way, she was introduced to employment law and decided to focus on that area.
“I began attending seminars and eventually became a certified employment law specialist,” she says.
Carroll says she loves her career for its learning opportunities and the people she has met.
“Every day I learn something new, and that is what has kept me engaged in this career so long,” she said. “There is nothing better than working through a problem with a client and having a good outcome.”
