J. Hagood Tighe has dedicated his over 30-year legal career to employment law, providing practical guidance to employers to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

As a third-generation lawyer, he discovered his passion for employment law during a summer clerkship that was suggested by a friend. He now litigates class and collective actions all over the country.

Tighe focuses on developing close relationships with clients and understanding how their businesses operate. He prides himself on being able to explain legal concepts to clients in ways that are readily clear and understandable.

Among his notable achievements, Tighe led a team that litigated one of the nation’s larger WARN Act class action lawsuits. After years of litigation, his team prevailed in district court and the 4th U.S. Court of Appeals.

He is also recognized for his community involvement and leadership, including recently serving as President of the South Carolina Bar.
