SC trades all-male Supreme Court for all-white one

South Carolina's General Assembly voted 152-0 in a joint session Wednesday to elevate Letitia Verdin to the state’s Supreme Court, making the tribunal all-white after the retirement of Chief Justice Don Beatty, its last Black judge.
