Just six years after joining Johnson Smith Attorneys at Law as an associate in 1996, Steve Querin was named a partner. His practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate matters, as well as collections and foreclosures.
He has taught business law at the University of South Carolina Upstate College of Business and Economics and has served in a variety of leadership roles in local government entities and institutions of higher education. These include the city of Spartanburg’s Civil Service Commission and Downtown Development Committee and the Ivey Foundation board of trustees. He is a past chair of the Spartanburg Community College Foundation’s board of trustees.
In 2007, Querin was the inaugural recipient of the Honorable Bruce C. Littlejohn Spartanburg County Young Lawyer Award.
He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
