Jenny C. Honeycutt honed her legal skills at a large firm, starting as an insurance defense litigator. When she learned there was an opening on the firm’s construction litigation team, she jumped at the chance to deepen her skill set and learn the nuances of construction law.

“I believe I am best known in the legal community for my love of the practice of law, as demonstrated by my zealous advocacy and pragmatic approach to efficient problem-solving and my commitment to mentoring the next generation of litigators,” she says.

Honeycutt serves as a South Carolina Supreme Court mentor and is a barrister in the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court, where she has served as a pupilage team leader for the past few years. She also is an elected Charleston County Council member.

“Serving in leadership both in a volunteer capacity and in county government has allowed me to make a difference beyond the courtroom by mentoring others and shaping policy, and it has been rewarding,” she says.
